Plenty. It's a one-punch KO of a guy who could be unseated by hurtful pressure, which Dempsey brought.

If you're dumb enough to stop fighting an ATG puncher because you think the referee should have taken action and you get KO'd, good.

Sharkey stopped fighting because he was in severe pain from being hit in the *****. Watch sharkeyc facial expression after Dempsey hits him in the *****..you can see a look on his face that shows he's in pain.

Even on the canvas Sharkey can still be seen clutching his ***** with his glove...another sign of being in severe pain

Should have taken a knee if he legitimate could not continue to protect himself.

Either way, a beautiful punch for the stoppage.

If Andrew golota followed up a low blow with a left hook to Bowes head which knocked him out...should golota have been granted the knockout victory?

If Bowe was unable to continue after five, he would have been awarded a knockout victory.

    So, yeah.

So low blows are acceptable ways to set up a big knockout punch?

Mcgrin would Dempsey have beaten Sharkey had he not resorted to those low blows?

Not much. That was a straight up foul on the break.

Sharkley was giving it to Dempsey all night. The Mauler was past it.

This de-facto win for Jack is used to make Tunny's two victories look better than they are.

No idea, just like you. But we do know that Dempsey hit hard enough to really mess him up at any given time based upon what played out.

I'm sure, without watching the films, that he was in pain.

    Probably quite a lot.

Not many champions who reign for a significant length of time, beat the heir to their throne.

the credit should be given to Dempsey because his powerful left hook took the durable Sharkey out of the fight with one punch....the alleged low blow was done in a way that the REF did not see it. Is credit given to Holmes with his many thumb blinding fouls, or to Marciano with his roughhouse elbows, or to Lennox Lewis for his hold and hit (Vitali and the cut was a foul) Ali with his leaning down on a fighters neck, Vlad doing the same ....the point is that Dempsey s power took an elite fighter out of there rusty legs and all and the ref did not see the low blow. Jack was as mean as a junk-yard dog and went for the kill.
