How much credit should Mayweather get for his win over Mosley?

That I think was the key for Mayweather's style of comeback.

I also agree with people claiming that difficult/not expected situations and pressure will always bring the best out of Mayweather and this is the reason I would favour him in a potential fight with Pacquiao. Because surely Pac would try to pressure him and give him problems that he's never faced before.

Mosley looked like an old man, so I can't give him full credit. He gets props for taking the fight and fighting the way he did though.

    Yeah. And Floyd is #2.

So, How the **** is Mosley #3 P4P?

The top 3 P4P fighters are all welterweights, is that seriously what people are saying?

Margarito made Cotto and Mosley look a lot better than what they really are. I think the P4P rankings should be updated after every fight.

Pac should still be #1, PBF #2 even after last night.

Pac's won every round easily since fighting ODLH. He hasn't clearly lost a round. Where as PBF has..

Well then people are ****ing idiots who will believe anything people spoon feed them.

There is no way in the world Mosley was the #3 P4P coming into this fight. No way known.

Based on what?? One win over Margo? **** me.

I like Mosley, think he's been an excellent fighter. But he's 38 years old, and in the last SIX years has a record of 7-3 (not including the Mayweather fight.)

    HIs wins were:

    David Estrada
    Jose Luis Cruz
    Vargas * 2
    Collazo (pretty good win)
Mayorga (cartoon bad guy and serial B-side fighter)
    Margo

    That's it. In six years.

    ONE title win.

That's the record of the 3rd best P4P fighter? My arse it is. All the other guys that have multiple title wins over a number of divisions, and that's the 3rd best fighter going around?

    ****, think for yourself people.

Full credit-Floyd's an amazing fighter and boxer...he showed a lot last night and i don't really like the guy or the character he plays or whatever...but, i think, that they're are maybe 3 welterweights that could beat Mosley at this point (maybe not by the score that Floyd did)-and there was a few points in the fight where it seemed like Shane just wanted to see the final bell when I expected him to go out on his shield if he had to.

i think we gotta see what Mosley does next really...i he retires then people wil have opinions forever....if he fights a good opponent and then looks good and wins or just looks good period we can grab a better picture of what happened in this fight.

I don't think last night was so much a floyd domination over another opponent and it was Mosley not being able to pull the trigger anymore. Its very odd how he rocked money in the second round and then just all of a sudden fights like he was payed to throw the fight.

Maybe it had something to do with Floyd adjusti*g perfectly to Mosley's attacks and countering the **** out of him. Just sayin'.

    Whatever man.

I was never, ever convinced this fight would be even half way close.

Mosley's turned in 1 good fight in years, and even that was something like 16 months ago. A long time for a 38 year old.

Even then, while it was a good win, there was all the controversy pre-fight with the gloves (probably pretty distracting for Margo, no?), and it's a good matchup for Mosley.

Mosley is probably a top 5 welterweight. No more, no less. A good win for Floyd, absolutely, he did it easy. But lets not go crazy.

He's still the bloke that lost to Cotto, and the guy that fought Vargas twice in what was thought to be retirment fights for both of them really - FOUR years ago.

I don't want to be pissing on Mosley, that's not my intention at all. But it's the best part of 10 years ago that he could be considered an elite fighter. And even then he lost convincingly to both Forest and Wright, twice.

My point both before the fight and now, is what has Mosley done, to be considered that high a P4P fighter, in the last few years?
