How much credit should Mayweather get for his win over Mosley?

I give him full credit, although the odds were very heavily stacked against a Shane victory. Mosely simply cannot beat tricky black fighters if his life depended on it. He couldn't figure out Vernon Forrest over 24 rounds. He couldn't get past Wright's jab over 24 rounds. He looked very lost and helpless against PBF and he couldn't even beat a Rican brawler who decided to go somewhat slick in the later rounds.

Cotto's late-rounds movement was too much for Mosely and Cotto's movement isn't that great (it was prety good a very long time ago: in the amateurs, though).

Mosely is, however, kryptonite against come-forward Latin sluggers/plodders like Vargas, Margo, and Mayorga.

props to floyd, he was challenged by the #1 WW, stepped up, got a dominating win.
as impressive as it was, i chose option 2 because we cant ignore the fact that shane is already aproaching 40 and clearly ain't a spring chicken.

but even though age also played a part in that floyd win, floyd's ability to recover, regain composure, and dictate the pace of the fight was the major factor for that fight.

I'm happy with the poll results.

It shows that people who don't give Mayweather credit for this win are very few. They are just very loud hating on him.

Floyd beat the number one welterweight dominantly. He was the big favorite, but the way he beat Shane earns him a lot of props.

This is what i heard aswell. Also i heard that he was tested twice at like 3 am in the morning and Mayweather's latest test was like 10 pm at night.

If this is true the drug testing policy that PBF feels now should be in place is flawed.

But i also wanted to say to the Mayweather fans that i give Floyd credit because Mosley had him hurt bad i felt and if it not for PBF fast thinking and holding the right hand of SSM the fight might have ended in round 2 if he took another big right hand from SHane.

I read somewhere that Mosley was tested 11 times and Mayweather 10.

Not much of a difference. Don't know details about the exact time of the tests, though.

Yeah, they do that to track & field athletes over here all the time.

WADA banging on their doors at 5 am and stuff like that.

To me the that way fo doing things in boxing is stupid.

Yeah ive got no problem with testing but why test 10 or 11 times before a fight please. Thats to much.

I think the possibility of this particular kind of testing to actually detect something is quite low. So this way they try to maximize their chances of detecting something.

He's getting far more credit than he deserves right now. He did what a top prime fighter is supposed to do when there is an old faded fighter put in front of him.
