How much credit will Marquez get if he beats casa?

A faded Casamayor was still rated higher than the DIaz that Pac fought, so yes JMM(depending on his performance) should at least get the same amount of credit PAC got for his victory over Diaz:deal

Did pac really got credit? pac was praise because of the way he beat diaz but everybody knew he's gonna win it even before the fight.

I think JMM should receive a lot of credit if he knocks out Casa. I think anyone should get a lot of respect for knocking out that guy!! No one has been able to do it yet. Not Freitas, JLC, or Corrales. He's moving up in weight to fight a dangerous, wiley and crafty fighter. Casa will resort to fighting in a less than honorable way if things aren't going his way. I hope that JMM is ready for it. If he thinks this fight is just a stepping stone for him, he's got another thing coming.

 

I doubt JMM can KO Casa. But if he does, then I'll probably give him alot of credit.

But as it stands, its unlikely for that to happen.

 

I agree. Unfortunately, I don't see him getting very much praise for a UD. The only way he gets respect for beating Casa is by knockout!!

 

I think a suprising WIDE UD would get him alot of praise. Nobody really expects him to have an easy time against Casa.

Diaz isn't popular but far from being shot. The whole world knows Casa is already shot or stone's throw away from being shot. That's the difference!

I did not say you said it. I'm making a comparison! That PAC fought a champ who is not shot while JMM is fighting a champ who is closer to being shot.

It's not just my opinion. Any knowldegeable boxing fan will tell you Casamayor is/was/and will always be rated higher than Diaz.

By the way, DIaz also hardly proved he was better than Santa Cruz and a lot of fans had him losing to the faded Morales.
