How much credit will Mayweather deserve when he beats Mosley?

  1. Personally, I don't think Mosley has looked good at all since the Cotto fight.

Cotto outboxed him thoroughly and took every one of his best shots, despite having a suspect chin. Shane looked slow(er) and old in this fight, and was trying to turn it into a clinchfest.

He struggled mightly against Mayorga, and was losing the fight on 2 of 3 scorecards until the 10th or 11th, after Mayorga had predictably run out of gas.

Shane's win over Margarito was decent, but that obviously wasn't the same Margarito everybody else has fought. Not only was he missing his "secret weapon" but it was obvious the embarrassment resulting from the discovery of the plaster was wearing on him as well, he never looked for a single moment of the fight like he was really in it.

On top of all that, Mosley's going to be coming off of a 15-month layoff at the age of 38. Don't get me wrong, I've wanted to see this fight for ages and am certainly going to buy the PPV, but it's not quite the fight it would've been 5 or 6 years ago, and I don't see Mosley having anything more than a puncher's chance.

Shane is not in his prime but is still arguably the best in his division. I'd give credit to Floyd for just signing the papers to fight a legit top welterweight, never mind that he's 4 years late (fought 1st welterweight bout Nov. 2005).

depends on how good mosley looks at his age he get old overnight. However assuming he hasnt faded any more than he already has then yeah Folyd deserves the respect for beating one of the best guys he's faced. A guys past his best years but naturally bigger and stronger.

Up there with beating the version of DLH he beat. Better than the Hatton win

mosley looked good in the cotto fight but not the margarito fight :huh
mosley was out boxed by cotto, the fight was toe to toe and in the end

cotto does what cotto does and that box to keep from geting koed.he's done that 4x at ww and its barley worked twice (mosley & clottely) failed big time against margarito and manny.

mayweather beats mosley, then he has beat the man to beat at ww.number 1 p4p fighter, weather manny beats clottley or not and i dont think he will.thats how much credit he deserves, best ww and best fighter in the world asap !

margarito never hit mosley, so im not sure his secret weapon would have worked anyways, you still got to hit the man.

never liked the mayweather vs mosley fight for the following hater reasons

    1. mosley was to old, they should have fought yrs ago ! "so what, there fighting now, better late then never"

    2. if mayweather struggles in his win against mosley, prime mosley would have destroyed mayweather ! " id say bull ****, better man wins period, now or later or even BEFORE.

    3. im not hater so i dont know what else to say, but haters feel free to add to the list i got already, this is what your good at.Hi Haters :hi:

mayweather damned if he do and damned if he dont, he beats shane which he can and beats pac which he can, i dont want to hear **** about ****.:bbb

what if mayweather makes him look old, cotto aint make him look or nor did magarito.mayweather will make him look old but not because he is old but because hes fighting mayweather.

mayweather is 32, no spring chicken.but he could fight until his 40's because of lack of punches taken in the ring.his hands might fall of though :yep

here we go again, Mosley has morphed from the beast to his ****ing grandfather. This is ****ing ridiculous, if Manny fought Shane he would be getting credit as if he slayed a dragon, Mayweather does it he committed elder abuse. But, that is the logic of *******s.

The funny thing is if Pac was fighting mosley right now. We wouldn't be hearing **** about how old and shot mosley is.

What we would be hearing is that Pac is a true champion who takes on the best in every division and ducks no one.

The OP was pretty awful...I mean, Mosley now has a world class trainer in his corner. Margarito who throws 1000+ punches a fight didn't hit Mosley at all during their fight, and Mosley looked impressive against Cotto, I don't know what fight you were watching.

All this aside, Mosley is probably considered the #1 WW at the moment. Mayweather gets all the credit in the world, it looks like he's finally going to fight a legit WW like everyone of his haters was screaming he should do so what's the issue?
