....he beats Shane, for me its obviously alot. I assume for many others it will depend on the manor of victory so if what I expect to happen, a wide UD with Floyd in control for the majority, does happen I wanted to get other peops opinions BEFORE the fight on how much credit he gets. Im not saying Floyd will definatley win, im not starting another arguement thread on this just on how much credit you give Floyd IF he gets a convincing points decision. Apologises if this has already been done but i couldn't find it!
I'll give him credit and I do expect him to win. I give Shane a chance early and hope he can pull something off. I'd have to turn the TV off during Mayweather's post fight interview because I honestly don't think I can sit there and listen to him talk any more ****. I'll give him credit - how much depends on how he goes about winning.
Here's the deal for me. He gets alot of credit because Shane IS the #1 WW right now. I truly believe Shane is also the "most dangerous" welterweight for him to fight also. However, this fight will have no bearing on hypothetical question of who the better fighter was Shane or Floyd because Shane HAS shown decline since his prime and Floyd hasn't yet.
Assuming Floyd Wins,it depends of the manner which he wins and how Mosley looks during the fight,if Mosley puts on a good performance but hes still clearly beat by Mayweather than Floyd should get a lot of credit for it but if Shane comes out and looks like **** similar to Oscar in his fight with Pac then Floyd shouldnt get much credit for beating an old and shot fighter.
I agree. If Shane gets tired or looks weak during the fight I can't see too many people giving Floyd big credit. If it's competitive, but Floyd comes out on top I see him getting moar credit since he just won over a live dog. If he completely dominates him like he did Marquez it just goes to show how skillful he is to be able to do that to the best WW, but the haters won't give credit and say Shane was an old man.
If this comes to happen, no doubt Floyd will prove himself finally in this division and maybe about to step up and prove himself at 154 as well. It would mean that he would have overcome some solid, very strong ww's punches and get his own home, even if he fights a Baldomir kinda fight... The reason he was not able to prove that already against xtremelly strong Baldo was b'cause this was a very, very crude fighter... Floyd definitely proves his thing against the refined and experienced Shane.
Agreed, but Floyd could possible make him look a lot worse than he really is, ala Marquez, and I dont see how people will admit Shane looked good losing a wide UD!? But imagine Shane looks 'lively' enough.
This is why im asking the question now so people know who votes what and can call them on it if change mind after. One can only try anyways...
This is honestly a REAL fight, you know why, look of all the fighters in boxing in or around floyd the ONLY one Roger never has EVER had anything bad to say about was Shane, go all the way back to their lightweight days in every interview where he is asked about shane he always says SHAne is a real fighter or shane is the one his nephew has to fight. for him to be disrespectful to everyone and anyone with out blinking but when it comes to shane he says that will be his nephews hardest fight 10 yrs ago or 10 yrs from now
