Up until the Shane fight - Margarito was known for having a great chin. So - I would give Pac a whole lot of credit for KO-ing Margarito - but don't see it happening.

While I'll concede to your point, I am not a fan of the catch weight either, in fact I don't think would should be able to fight for the title in the weight division unless you are at the weight division, but if both fighters agree and are on the board, and the title is taken out of the equation what would be the problem????....:?:huh

    How is he weight drained?
    He fought Mosley at 147.
Before his return fight in Mexico , he fought Mosley, Cotto, Cintron x2, Clottey, Johnson, PWill and Gomez at 147 CONSECUTIVELY.

You have to go to 2004 for his last fight above 147!

Agree. Pac does not have the power. Even with accumulated punches Marg is not going down. Pac does not have the power IMHO (unless he gets lucky and hits Marg with 2 Hatton short left).
His lunging straight left and quick right hooks is not strong enough to down a natural WW/JrMW.

He'll get credit if he gets Margarito out of there. But if he KO's him Hatton style, everyone will jump on the 'Pacquiao is on PED'S' bandwagon again.

  9. manny will be the man if he ko's margarito. what manny's doing is crazy. its amazing.

Agree but I think being off for a year, I don't think he was pressing to get his weight down that much.

Hmm im not sure i understand.
    Prime Barrera>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Margarito

There is no comparison. The skill level between those fighters is immense. I think you are taking the size into consideration but you are probably one of those people that thinks Pac is still a flyweight. Pac is a WW now with more skill and speed than Margarito so in all honesty he should win.

I rewatched Margarito-Mosley and Margarito-Cotto last night and Margarito-Williams the other night.

Shane was hitting Margarito with monster rights all night and it took him 9 rounds to finish him. Not only was Margarito not mentally there, he was also weight drained having to cut 30 pounds to make 147 lbs. as revealed in HBO's 24/7. Shane is probably the hardest hitting welterweight.

Cotto, who Mosley says hits harder than Margarito, also landed a lot of punches to Margarito's head. Couldn't even slow him down.

Paul Williams (who stands 6'2 or at least 4 inches taller than Margarito as stated by HBO commentators) threw over 1000 punches and connected on alot of punches to Margarito. Didn't even bother Margarito.

With all that said, I am picking Pacquiao to win this by decision. So yes, a KO victory (actual knockdown, not ref stoppage) for Pac will surprise me and will get huge credit if Margarito looks live in there.

I am not a pac hater but personally i will give him little credit because its what we all know is going to happen.

Roach has picked someone who blocks punches with their face, does not have a enough power to hurt Pac man and also is not as good a fundemental boxer as pac. Not to mention that Marg is on the decline.

These points are the reason why Pac will KO marg at about round 10.

It will happen so dont be too surprised when it does.
