Not as much as he'd give himself. Now, if he fought and beat Cotto, Mosley, or Williams, then I'd give him a lot of credit.

Honestly, as good a technician as he is, I think Floyd would cope easily with JMM. He'd find big holes in his defence and land at will.

I'd still give him credit, as he's my #1 P4P, or certainly #2 at least. Especially if it's at 140.

He won't get any credit here even if he takes the fight at 140.:deal There's always an excuse after every PBF win.
I like the fight as a tune-up for him. He should get credit for beating the #2 or #3 P4P fighter.

I'm somewhere in between Options 2 and 3 and feel it would be unfair to vote one way or the other. It's more than just a respectable win, but not 'great'.

if he doesnt comeback to face Mosley or Cotto it would be better if he stays retired.

Would he get that much credit for fighting mosely? If he beat mosely people will just say mosely is past best etc, cotto is the fight i most want to see mayweather take and im sure that cotto has the best chance of beating him with williams the next best shot

Pretty much my view, he will get credit as marquez is a superb fighter but not to much as i honestly can't see a way marquez can win unless maywather not the same fighter that he was when he retired

beating JMM would mean that he is really the best fighter in the last 5 years...longetivity at being the very best, right there with duran, jones and hagler...

I would give floyd some credit, JMM isn't a slouch and he's been at the top of the fight game for many years.

if its a tune-up then the fight deserves credit --

If the fight is at 147 no credit at all,Marquez would have no chance.
At 140 I'd give him some credit but JMM is still the smaller man.
