How much damage will Cotto dish out on the ropes?

Cotto is a combination puncher he'll land something for sure. Thing is Floyd will want him to open up and Floyd wants to be one step ahead. Floyd don't mind at all taking shots while blocking and evading them in order to expose his opponent. Jab and right hook are the best punches vs Floyd.

 

Mayweather's gonna keep that left arm tight to his rib cage. If Cotto had a right hand I could entertain the though of him landing on Mayweather against the ropes.

When Mosley, Oscar and Castillo were able to land their big punches it was feinting downstairs then coming up top with the right hand. With Floyds shell defense its really the only punch that can make an impact, Floyds style is meant to take away the left hook. Nazim saw it. Dont know if Cotto's team will. And given that Cotto's is a converted southpaw that only uses his right hand to set up the left hook, it wouldnt be much effective anyway.

 

cotto looked good vs margo but floyd aint no margo for sure.cotto has a chance,better than canelo would have had for sure.cotto is a good boxer and can brawl as well but i think he has slipped a lot and mayweather is the best or second best depending on how you rank him.mayweather by ud easy.

Stop it. Don't start talking like this fight might be competitive. It won't. It might have been interesting a few years ago, but not anymore, we know that Cotto doesn't quite cut it and he will get TKOed in this one, at best.
