He made enough to cover the fines of the athletic commission.

I really don't understand how they don't get payed more really. A lot of there PPV numbers are comparable with boxing (except for your Pac/ Mayweather PPVS typically).

Who knows for sure but apparently its a lot as White had to up his guaranteed pay to get him to agree to fight in Vegas after Brazil fell through. You're talking millions in any case.

    $200,000 (no win bonus)
Knockout of the Night: Anderson Silva - $75,000

Good cut of the PPV - no official numbers that I've read yet

Sadly the only way we ever get official numbers is if someone gets sued or sues. FWIW The word on the grapevine is that Silva may not have gotten a cut of the ppv this time because he demanded such a gigantic guarantee to take the fight against Chael in Vegas.

That must have been helluva guarantee, judging by what Reem took home as a cut of the PPV, this was going to sell more and Id think Silva would be on a bigger slice than Alistair

Well the rumour I heard was that it was pushing $7million.

As White confirmed last week when they went to Rio for the press conference they did not have Silva's agreement and the fight was on the brink of collapsing following the move from Brazil. The reason that press conference was delayed for over an hour was because White was still desperately trying to bring Silva on board.

$7 mill is great for MMA

Was he just playing hardball or was there a reason he didnt want to fight in Vegas?

Well the person who posted this rumour called it the biggest one they've ever given anyone.

And who knows with Anderson. He was probably playing hard ball due to being pissed at being made to fight Chael and the promised supershow in his hometown/homecountry both failling through. Plus the guy has always had his eye on the bottom line - its forgotten that in 2009 he very loudly complained at how little he was getting and started talking of possibly fighting Roy Jones Jr.

Yeah, who the **** knows with Anderson

I know it's only a rumour, but I was wondering if he was concerned about the Judging or something along them lines with the way Chael fights to the decision.

Anyway it's all just speculation, Silva got paid
