How much did Clev and Bellew get paid?

I dont know how much they had but I think this figure is way off.

 

I'm going for £250k clev, £150k Bellew. £125k for DeGale. Tony Pace £1000 and a taxi home.

 

Who cares?

They both deserve every single penny.

 

Think pace would have got a bit more than that due to the level of opponent and dependent on the notice he got.

 

I wish they did some sort of bonus where you get the extra for a ko. That incentive would then boost ammount of knockdowns and ko wins for fighter which would then inturn boost viewinf figures from fans.

I get this thought process from the back of boring point wins like harrison v williams 1 and sprott v skelton, terrible fights :-(

 

The pace figure was a pisstake mate hence the taxi comment. That lad should of got close to £2500 I reckon.

The lad should get himself a decent gym cos he has heart in abundance. His corner of lack of made me sad to be fair. The hungarian opponents drafted in had a better turnout ffs.

 

Unless it was a huge amount I don't think it would change much. There is too much risk.

 

That figures probably about right. If he had taken it really really late he might have got as much as 4k but I think they probably had other options.

It's good to know purses, that way you can work out why tv stations go for such a stable and not another i.e mick on channel 5 and why frank has to get his own station.

 

I know mate but something drastic needs to happen. I nearly walked last month through the sport cos of UFC. Sick to death of opponents playing it safe and picking up the pts wins and not trying for ko. UFC gets slaughtered for submissions and grappling yet in boxing many fighters spoil and aim for ud which is equally as bad.

I much prefer a fighter who looks to finish rather than looks to defend.

Yeah mate no doubt. Many a journeymen come in with a week max but some as late as an afternoon. Some turkish looking fella bout 2-3 years back iirc.

 

I know Tony Booth occasionally got as much as 6-8 Large.

 

Wow, that's serious cash if you can get that once a month or so. £6k on a decent bill and £1500-2000 on a smaller hall show in between.

I heard Peter Buckley was in the top3 earners in british boxing some years back cos of his activity in the ring. Naz got a bull**** stoppage against him and they BOTH protested the ko cos Buckley was banned from fighting for a month and needed the cash :good

 

As a journyman you won't get that once a month but it is possible once in a while if you are called very late and you know they have no viable alternative to 'save their show'.
