How much did Lennox Lewis embarrass himself by backing Price?

I was surprised when I heard he was going to mentor Price. Then I was even more surprised he was going to actually train and prepare Price in Canada for two weeks. Then I couldn't believe my eyes when Lewis was ringside, screaming at the top of his lungs each round.

    Tough night for Lewis.

In the end he is not the one taking punches or the one in the ring.

Some people have it and some people do not - on both sides.

Lewis is pretty pissed off with Maloney after the latter seemed to attribute some blame to him - says he asked for eight weeks with Price & was given three.

Lewis made a bad boxing & business decision backing Price.

Lewis is trying to set up boxing schools in Jamaica , with Price as a spokesperson.
    That's why Lewis was there.

Your forgetting he was the face of Haye V Harrison and was hyping the former right up until his broken toe versus Klitschko......

    The man has no shame.

The thing is Lennox was screaming at Price at the top of his lungs in round 3, potentially driving Price to gas himself out. In hindsight Price should have taken it slow after knocking Thompson down.

Of course Price is getting all the blame now but let's not forget how Lennox kept saying "Price has to show his mean side". I guess Price just tried to do as he was told and he failed miserably.

It's not Lewis who got the **** kicked out of him, Price fought a stupid fight, once he gets hit clean he just stands still.

he was also interviewed right before Hamed vs Barrera and was supporting Hamed. Then Hamed lost and a few weeks later Lewis got KTFO himself.

Lewis was a boxer who was never a defensive great, he got knocked out twice early. Why would someone who got knocked out early go get advice from someone who never overcomed that problem himself? I blame price for being so dumb. If I was knocked out early I'd go find someone who was never knocked out like oliver mccall or at least knocked out in late rounds over someone who was no good to start with.

price needs to learn to fight like lewis/wlad..problem is he isnt good enough to do so...price should stick around he will become a euro belt holder..maloney has to be blamed for this tho..you cant stick your guy in with domestic level cans then throw him in with a cat like thompson..just plain and utter stupidness

Oliver McCall? Give me a break. He never got ko'd because he had one of the hardest chin's in boxing history, certainly not because of his defensive wizardry.

Price's problem (aside from his chin) is that he still fights like an amateur. As soon as the second round hits, he goes for it, trying to amass points like he's in a four rounder. His current team don't have the nous to bring him out of that habit. He needs to stay at british/european level until he acquires the smarts to manage a fight - if he keeps on his current path, he's done.
