i've been looking and i've seen about 5 different amount does anyone know how much both of these made after everything ?
On wikipedia it says Oscar 52, Floyd 25. this ESPN article says Oscar over 50M, Floyd "around 20 million" http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2865349
At the time, the match was the most lucrative boxing match ever, with over $120 million in generated revenue *wikipedia & http://boxing.about.com/od/history/a/payperview.htm $120 million for a bout that did a still record 2.15 million PPV buys @ $55 It's doubtful Pac-Mayweather will even break that record. Even if they charge $100 for the PPV and it does that much it still won't be enough for Mayweather to get $100 million with the cable company getting a good chunk (don't they get half?), the promoters take, expenses and Pac $30-50million. You can't defend Mayweather on his bull**** demand. It's an axcuse to duck Pac for good.
too much in a way for Oscar to quit in that fight. 52 million? Hagler and Hearns both got about 5 million in 1985 for a real super fight and result. Sometimes I think they should have it where the winner gets and extra purse.
