It's possible that the Bivol loss will serve as the wake up call that Canelo needs before fighting GGG. To make sure losing doesn't happen again.

Benavidez is still young. He thinks he's experienced, but he's big. He's very good, but Canelo is gonna learn a LOT from the Bivol loss. Canelo physically is more developed than most fighters so he may be able to be more creative with his problem solving. If he got Bivols Canelo, he'd have won for sure. We'll have to see what kind of Canelo comes out.
We`ll be able to tell what Canelo has left if he fights Benavidez.

First of all, Canelo is GGG's provider. GGG's biggest pey deys are thanks to Canelo. So the idea that he ever robbed GGG is hilarious. He has gotten GGG paid twice for more $$ than GGG could dream of with any other fighter, and he's getting GGG paid him again for a 3rd fight. GGG should be thanking Canelo for making more $$ than he ever has before 3x. Canelo is GGG's pey dey, never forget that.

 

Both their 2 previous meetings were fair fights. No catchweights, no rehydration clauses, no A-side advantages. Canelo fought GGG on GGG's terms at GGG's weight. Now this time GGG has to fight Canelo at Canelo's weight because Canelo is the King and this time GGG is the challenger. We have come full circle in the Canelo GGG rivalry. GGG needs Canelo.

 

Maybe in some alternate reality where the guy didn't just spend the last four years rooted to 160 with his hand out expecting this bout to fall in his lap while mustering a whopping output of two creditable fights.
