Lewis is a huge stumbling block for any heavy. The only knock against Lewis is that his form could vary a lot, and he made heavy weather against guys that he should have clobbered easily in his peak form.
Bowe was always going to be fragile and have a short career. That said, if he could get up and running and have gotten first in line against Ruiz, he would likely have a belt.

That's not true; he reported to the Marines long before the Golota-Lewis fight. Riddick had neurological problems even before the fights with Golota, and Eddie Futch left him, saying Riddick was finished and wouldn't train him. Golota's Bowe isn't Holyfield's Bowe, and Lewis's Golota isn't Bowe's Golota. Golota was like night and day, and lidocaine didn't help him.
