A big time ref like Mills lane Tony weeks or Joe cortez. How much are they making per 12 round fight? Is it possible they are paid too much and like fighter can simply enter the ring going through the motions once they dont need the money anymore? And judges too for that matter?
they don't get paid that much you know. i can't remember the exact number, but cortez was paid no more than 1000$ for a big fight about 8 months ago. hope this helps.
really, onl 1K for the biggest, of the big fights? i know it can't be THAT much, but I was tihnking more along hte lines of 3-5k for a regular HBO, or Showtime bout, and around 10k for a big time PPV fight. . . Judges probably less. . but the main thing is the perks: you get free room, travel, food for a few nights at a good hotel... and you get to travel the world! fights in germany, australia, new zealand, russia, mexico, etc. but ive wondered this myself. . ive never seen anything concrete, just guesses like this. . LOVE to see an article, or interview, etc. discussing the issue.
Here is a link they don't make much. http://www.dca.ca.gov/csac/forms_pubs/official_payscale.shtml
thanks man! good stuff. . .. still, the real perks are what make it cool. . free flights around the world! im sure they are paid for - flights, hotel, food budget.
kenny bayless is at the top of the food chain and i think he still has a day job. i was told he's a physical ed teacher. had a friend whose parents went to high school with him at berkeley high in berkeley, california.
mills lane got paid 10 grand for tyson/holy#2...........meanwhile holy got 35 million and holy got 30 million
you make 30 million for a fight and your house is foreclosed and your about to go to jail for not paying child support.atsch:-(
