How much do you think Mayweather will have diminished because of age, vs Marquez?

He was definitely one of the most skilled boxers of our era, but he's had two years of inactivity after nearly a decade of fighting world class opposition.

One thing that i first noticed at their press conference, is how his face seemed to have aged 10 years in only two years of absence. He went from a young Mayweather to a semi-Floyd Sr. look. I hope he still has it come august 19th, this is a gonna be a great fight. :bbb

    Not sure.

One could argue if he was injured, he's lost a step or maybe he's rusty?

I gotta feeling that he will not be the same, his own fault, he cheated himself of 2 years of his prime

It's the first fight that he's taken since admitting that he finds training a chore...that'll age a fighter.

ya he has a little maybe, we'll see.
If he loses against either Marquez or Pac it will tarnish his legacy IMMENSLY. It would take at least 3 or 4 big wins to get back to where he was. Fool should never have "retired"

He doesn't come forward at all.
    So hardly none.
It is WAY easier to pot shot then attack.

Did he say that? That definitely is something to keep in mind.... especially since being a gym rat used to be one of his strengths. I really like it when a boxer is so dedicated to his profession, that you know he's gone through hell during training, when he steps through those ropes...

He's never been in any real battles...
Has always avoided tough in-prime opponents
99% of the fighters he has faced have been washed up or weakest links
At 32 and having retired from boxing multiple times means he's still fresh and in top shape and can last longer than boxers like JMM who have been in multiple battles and have trully dedicated themselves to the sport.
His "I have brittle hands" was just an excuse to keep avoiding true fights... Notice how his "brittle hands" disspeared as he was given a $20mill handout by DelaHoya.
He hasn't dimished one bit. He's ready to continue milking the boxing fans at the expense of more washed up's and weakest links.:-(
