Hi. I have two questions about boxing training: 1. How much do you train? 2. Why do you train? Thank you, Daniel Kemp
At the gym only once a week. Alone I try to get in two/three a week - and I do it because I'm overweight and trying to get some of it off.
1. 4-6 nights per week at the gym depending how I'm feeling. Plus running/other cardio in the mornings. 2. For competition.
In a week I will hit the weights 3 times, run 3 times and do 2 sessions devoted to planche progressions. I simply do it for fitness and in all honesty vanity. In my mid 20's I was overweight, a smoker and a flight of stairs would leave me short of breath, decided I wasn't gonna go down that route and turned it all around.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday at local boxing club. 2 hours per night. Doing it to get in shape. I'm too old to compete in the amatures
1. 3 nights a week plus running and weight training. 2. because I love it! and to pursue it as a career.
Back then at my heaviest I was just over 11 stone which doesn't sound a lot but I am only 5" 5 and a normal healthy weight for me then was just under 9 stone. I currently weight 9 stone 10 lbs but I have put on a lot of muscle since then.
1. 4x a week, usually consists of boxing, strength and cardio workout 2. for fun, stay in shape, and competition
I'd say about 3 times per week, depending on the week, though. I'm actually fairly inconsistent, which is my down fall. I'll go about 5 days straight and then randomly stop for about a week. If I wanna get into amateur boxing or make a career out of it, I definitely have to develop a better and more consistent workout plan. Why? Because I love it and it keeps me in great shape. Plus, it's a potential future career option if all else fails LOL.
6 x per week + morning runs couple of times per week and ice hockey/soccer/Futsal goalkeeping here and there. For to get better shape and get ready for my first match.
