What exactly are the supposed effects? You're going to have to explain why somebody is going to lose a fight because they had sex.

Try it. Have sex a day or two before you spar or have a match and see how your performance in the ring won't be affected at all.

    It's another boxing myth.

    Maybe this will help.

The night before my first taste of a REAL Ultra, I had sex with my ex and slept maybe 4 hours on top of doing really half ass 5 weeks of training because I didn't take it seriously enough. My diet was **** as well. Turned out to be in the mid 90's with heavy humidity.

I dropped at mile 31 in 6:30 hours.

Point is, Dial in your nutrition, training, sleep and recovery and you will be fine. It all starts in the mind so if you think it will affect you, it will.

The course was the 2011 Dances With Dirt Devil's Lake 50 Mile Ultra

I plan on winning it this year.

I doubt the sex was the problem so much as this. But still, 31 miles is a long way

So it's gone from focus to hormone levels... :huh

Don't believe everything you're told. Do your own research on the net, books, people, studies, whatever then decide whether you believe something or not. Believing something because somebody told you it's true can make you look stupid and doesn't help you at all.
