Ok this isn't a hate thread it's just a question how much does the guy have left. Originally I wanted him to face top middleweights that were non punchers like Andrade because after what happened to Stevenson it's just scary that happening to any top fighter no matter how much you dislike them. When ggg signed to dazn I was hoping it was a two fight deal one fight against a top mw Andrade who isn't a puncher so he would not take damage and his pay day Canelo . But now I've learned he's signed a six fight deal. Right now the division is piling up with young guys soon Jarrett Hurd will be there munguia Charlo Jacobs canelo. So it's a division full of young guys I think GGG has two fights left tops . The 6 fight deal was a mistake in my opinion. Also hearn wants to match up GGG with callum smith @ 168 my question is after this year I'm talking about next year GGG being 38 will he have enough to hold off against these younger bigger guys .I would not want another Stevenson to happen.GGG should fight top middleweights that are non punchers . Like BJS. Or Andrade . So does ggg have enough to hold off the younger bigger guys

Well despite his age, when you consider he started as a pro at age 24, and you factor that his level of opposition has been very weak up until about a year ago, and get this, he's ONLY boxed 196 pro rounds which divided by 12 is only 16 fights.

In comparison to Mayweather who has fought since the age of 19, and has boxed 397 pro rounds, Pacquiao has boxed since age 15 and has boxed 474 pro rounds, and even Canelo has fought since 15 and has boxed 379 pro rounds.

I don't think GGG has much wear and tear. Hasn't had tough wars outside of Canelo and Jacobs, and has fought pro since age 24 he should have another good 3-5 years left.

The amount of rounds boxed and tough wars takes it a lot away from a fighter, but regardless of this, age has a major factor.

32 and on-wards it's a downward spiral; physically, stamina, endurance etc. etc. starts decreasing.

The Brook fight was much more of a war than Jacobs

It's hard to say. He didn't want to throw the left hook or the body shots against Canelo. He may have become gunshy or Canelos style / strategy made it difficult. GGG didn't need it to win but I thought any fighter would prefer to dominate a fight rather than do enough. Please don't go back to a debate on who won, this is my opinion.

Well against Martirosyan he looked like the same ol' Triple G we know. Of course it was against an overmatched opponent, but really that's who Triple G looks impressive against.

Against Canelo he would not dare commit to the body because it would leave his chin completely exposed and Canelo is always ready with those lefthooks or straight rights.

GGG barely landed an average of 2.5 jabs more per round than Canelo. Canelo landed more power punches. It was a close fight, and a draw was more than fair.

I didn't really think so. GGG just tried to steamroll through him and get him the f*** out as soon as possible, and wasn't faced by brook since he was a welterweight.

Triple G looked severely sick at the weigh in and possibly wanted to end the fight asap.

Against Jacobs he really had to work in that fight. Did not steamroll, had to fight tooth and nail to squeak out a decision.

he has alot left i think. 6 fights is pushing it tho. so it seems there gonna manage him smartly. a tune to start then some regular ggg fights for example a guy like stevens or ishida. then after a couple of them i can see canelo fight or andrade something like that. and lets see what weight he competes at as well. he might jst hop right into 168 because its has to be difficult to make 160
