Yeah I dunno I look at it this way, he has had almost 400 am fights, 40 proffessional training camps, it's the camps that bring the majority of the wear n tear, the fights are only 36 min if they go the distance. It's the hundreds of rounds of sparring, road work, conditioning etc that do the damage. Ggg also has copped a little damage as he hasn't got the best defence & hes 37 or so, he don't have much left in the tank, 5 fights max. He hasn't shown much decline as of yet, which is a good sign but it may be right Round the corner.
He has, hes slowed up 3 yrs plus now..His Am fights mentally and physically will be adding to his age, his pro career hes steam rolled the majority, its that huge amount of fights as a Am that'll shorten his shelf life as a pro plus his style doesn't suit the older fighter..
I don't think so he's already slowing down and has been for 2/3 years now. Granted it's been gradually but by the time the DaZn deal is over he'll be done or maybe even before that
I was hoping he would of signed a two fight deal only maybe 3 at most..... Ugh he better be careful next year
Whilst he’s not at his best anymore, he’s still elite. Fighters that really look after themselves can prolong their careers. He can have that contract fulfilled in 2 years, likely 3, and then it’s a wrap.
He has lost a step athletically speaking, but overall as a fighter he still has had enough left to edge both fights with canelo, his boxing ability will allow him to hang around a little longer, luckily for ggg he doesnt have to bang anymore.
