Floyd will be rememebered as the great undefeated boxer who chose to avoid great challenges later in his career to preserve his zero. Like, Floyd says, legacy don't pay the bills. I guess to Floyd, his zero was worth more than the $40 million to fight Pac.

well, he should never have come back out of retirement after the Cotto-Pac fight, because the expectation was he saw Pac's performance and wanted to fight him immediately, then it turned to nonsense. That is in everybody's mind now. If he had stayed retired, willingly relinquished the #1 spot, he would not be in the position he is in now.

He really doesn't need Pac, but he sure will prove a great point if he beats pac with ease.

I think Floyd was made for Pac and no one else, I think the style match up probably favors Pac, but Floyd is a more flawless fighter. He is a great great fighter, but Wilfred Benitez was a great, great fighter, too. He would have reigned a lot more convincingly if guys like Leonard and Hearns were not around at the same time, and its a shame Floyd and Pac won't just make this killing one last time. I have to say I think Floyd and his father both know the style match up does not favor him either, and thus his reluctance. He could still win anyway, he's that good. But Pac has all the right intangibles and all the right tangibles, too, to beat Flawless Floyd.

Neither fighter can make the amount the money they would make fighting each other. Both are at the end of their great careers and if they are smart the know they'll cash in that retirement paycheck. If they pass on that 20mil they are both stupid and let their egos get on the way.

    :hat

For his legacy to be considered anywhere near his constant claims of being the GOAT, he needs Pac desperately. If he is content being remembered as just another great fighter who didn't fulfil his potential like Roy Jones and have his legacy overshadowed by Pac's then he doesn't need to fight anyone.

it seems psychologically that manny has the edge in this fight, floyd seems really scared to come up with a lame excuse such as a steroid scandal, if you think about it its pretty ****ing lame. He needs to quit beating woman and get in the ring and back up his trash talk instead of fighting an overweight marquez. I give the man props for his mosley win but you can tell the man has his doubts about getting in the ring with this filipino badass.

Floyd Mayweather if he wants to be remembered like greats SRL, Hagler ect, has to have a big fight and Pacman is the only fight out there.

Floyd Mayweather will never fight Pacman, Floyd is a coward.
