assuming that that fight had a generous 400,000 PPV buys, mulitiply that by a generous 50 bucks per buy, that is only 20,000,000 dollars. Decuct what they owed Mayweather which is 12,000,000 dollars, that leaves a remainders of 8,000,000 dollars. From that, you have to get Baldomir's opurse of a million dollars, plus the crappy undercard fighters, promotional cost, HBO or top ranks profit as the PPV provider.

    It really makes sense!!!!

PPV providers usually take about 50 % from the PPV money

It really doesn't matter, it could have been 100 million or 8 million, at the end of the day Mayweather took on Baldomir rather Margarito. Same price for fighting both fighters, the obvious fact one fighter was a lower risk than the other. Maybe it is just a business for him after all.:good

Its been just a business ever since he made it to 147 ! He keeps repeating over and over again that:

    1-He's the best ever
    This content is protected

2-He's not in it to please fans but to make money.

If we didn't know what's on his mind, we could perhaps understand a little more his fans that protect him so much but he has made it so clear now so many times ''what kind of man he is'' that I just cannot begin to understand how fans are willing to defend him, unless they are friends, family or employees of his..........:huh

I agree with you 100 %, he has lost a lot of respect and fans since he began fighting at 147. I thought his fight against Judah was the beginning of his domination on that weight class. And then suddenly so many names and risk for him. He let us all down. He will truly regret all this in later years if he doesn't decide to step up and at least fight a top ten welterweight.

That's right. He's pulling A Roy Jones on the boxing world and I'm a huge Jones fan but gotta face the facts...

Funny how history just keeps repeating itself...
