McCallum wasn't a power problem, he just got knocked out quickly. Hearns hit Hagler and Leonard with clean jolting shots, that didn't do too much.

Even then, when steamrolling lesser competition, Jackson seemed more impressive.

People say Hearns' power didn't translate well to higher weight classes. Jackson's did.

Leonard hit hard enough to knock out two guys who were light heavyweight champions.

I don't think anyone Floyd knocked out will win a light heavyweight title.

Tommy`s KO over Shuler at middle was lethal and he knocked out Andries who was a light heavy.

Leonard hit a GREAT DEAL harder than Floyd.

Fragile ass Miguel Cotto and even more fragile ass Zab Judah ain't going 12 with Leonard, I can tell ya that much.

And Leonard would have treated Hatton like Dave Green.

Hatton would have landed more shots than Green but yes Ray would have spaked him cold I feel.

    Floyd has KO'd 4 opponents above 140.

    Sharmba Mitchell (glass chin)
Ricky Hatton (far from granite chin, sparked out cold by small Pac later)
Glass jawed, glass hearted Victor Ortiz
    Pro debutant Conor McGregor

Any other boxer at 147-154 with better punch resistance went 12 vs Floyd, taking his best punches.

Floyd has many great abilities, but punching power isn't the one of this

Very underrated win for Hearns. One of his most important above 154, imo.

The demolition of Duran alone puts Tommy Hearns in the upper echelon on punchers in my view, not to mention his blowouts of Cuevas, Roldon, Bruce Curry, Shuler...etc etc

Who else did that to Duran at any time? Not Leonard, not Hagler, not Barkley, hell even William Joppy against an ancient and totally shot Duran couldn't bounce him off the floor like Hearns did.

Hearn's never hit Leonard flush with his best stuff, ever. Leonard was so elusive he managed to nullify his power in the first fight .. even in the second when he went down twice they were either glancing or not flush.

Ones a non puncher at 147, one was a ko puncher at 147..There would be a big difference if you have to take them

Leonard was a naturally bigger guy. he started at welter……….floyd at jr. lightweight. Pound for Pound, floyd probably hit harder.
