I rewatched PAC - EM II and PAC - JMM II and in those fights, he has shown the same type of movements like lead left hands, right hooks, and uppercuts.

Also, it seems like he always drop his guard especially when he jabs with his right hand. I am wondering if PAC has really improve moving up in weight and fighting Diaz, DLH, and Hatton?

is the improvement an illusion because he is not fighting an ATG fighters like JMM and EM? or has he really improve over the years?

He has took more advantage of his physical gifts such as speed and footwork by throwing more combinations, being less predictable and throwing more than a looping or straight left. He still has technical flaws. Manny is great in mid range but struggles moving backwards and when he is pushed back or in a physical type fight. In fights with Morales and Marquez they showed he struggles when pushed back or counterpunched.

his transforlmantion into a brilliant boxer reminds me of MAB's transformation but more more exciting. MAB went from exciting brawler to cerebral killer. pac went from exciting brawler to a very well rounded boxer but exciting because he fights like a crazy mother****er.

he's improved a lot, but I feel there are a number of boxers than can outbox him.

So while he's improved a lot from where he was he still needs to improve to be one of the best pure boxers

A lot. He's just much more polished now and less predictable. His right hook is just as devastating as his left. He's a completely different fighter from the MAB and EM days IMO.

You said it. I think that he is even stronger after moving up in weight. He carried his speed and he power can't be denied after what he did to Hatton.

yes there were glimpses of those lead lefts, right hooks and uppercuts in fights even prior those.

but what happened was that roach picked on those to build up and hone. paired with pacs unpredictable movement and timing, those have become real threats. but the real improvement is in his in and out footwork. pac used to go toe to toe and slug (ie. vs sanchez), now he uses his movements avoid those punch fests. pac's sidestepping and duck forward movement is his own aggresive version to floyds back leaning and ducking out of shots. with pacs version, he is always in position to fire a shot.
