    :huh

Serious question for those who have followed him more closely. What changes has he made and how will they help him reverse the outcome from the first match?

A few subtle things but the thing that comes to me the most is:

    Patience.

Hes no longer desperate to get a guy out of there in the first round with one shot. He is patient in breaking his opponent down. With this comes the improvement of not lunging with wild shots leaving himself open for counters (Donaire).

Though he doesnt lunge in as much as he use to, he still makes some obvious mistakes which most professional trainers would be furious with if they ever try to train him. Im a big Vic fan for obvious reasons, but I have no doubt, if he were to ever fight a solid technical fighter ex. Juan Manuel Marquez or Barrera, those guys would time him and KO him before in the first half of the fight.

I know what you are saying, but have seen a bit of vic in the gym and he hit so hard for a man of 115 pounds, IF he did not have that freak strengh and power he would not even be a top 30 guy at 112 or 115.

the truth is that he hasn't changed that much. He still telegraphs his left hand and drops his right when he throws it which is his biggest flaw.

what was impressive was how he used this right hand to turn Arce over and over again and get hiim out of position.

vic has made an effort to box more and just wait for the KO to come, he used to think he could get it done with just one shot early until that fateful night with nonito. i still believe though that he would still lose in a rematch

good call. i noticed this also. it use to be always in the attack mode and too much confidence. he still is too confident but is now extremely patient. imo, it would be a tougher fight for donaire the next time around. i expected arce to give darchinyan a tough fight but vic just picked arce round by round and not too eager to finish him early. he is even letting arce come forward and just be contented on uppercuts whenever arce comes in.

Not much, Arce had had too many hard fight before and did his best! A prime Arce would clearly beat the "Raging bull"!

He hasn't changed at all ... what he did against Donaire is all he knows ... he got a little reckless last night and he doesn't have defense for the (orthodox stance) left hook --

If he fought Donaire again ... he would get knocked out again ... as long as he's fighter who he's stronger than, or more agile than, he's going to win.

Donaire would beat him and so would Montiel --

He looked almost invincible before Donaire, and he looks almost invincible now. The Donaire fight is a big question mark for me.

he respects his opponents more but he still is too easy to hit. He would lose to the technical boxers.

Of course even Donaire would KO him clearly, he does the same mistakes! I hope he doesn't run away from Donaire.....

He attempts to throw more jabs. I love Darc, but he still snaps his shots beforfe he throws them. Same ole Vic. Vic can't beat Doniare. Shaw knows it too, that is why he said he won't match the two. Vic just throws a few more jabs and moves a bit better. That's it!

So Vic will always lose to a technical boxer? wasn't that technical boxer Miljares suppose to have embarressed Vic before they fought?
