Each big fight needs two big fighters, yes Mayweather has more fans willing to pay PPV but Alverez deserves credit for his fan base and attracting people who are on the fence about buying a PPV by being a good enough opponent.

This event is only a success because Garcia vs Lucus is on the undercard. Without that it wouldn't even be as big as it is.

Maybe 40. Any Floyd fight would be big, this one is just a bit bigger.

25%. the other 75% go to Floyd, Lucas and Danny. 25% respectively. There are many here who would be happy with the Lucas/Danny fight and no main event too...

55 May 45 Canelo. It takes two to dance. You only have to look at the numbers for Guerrero fight.

You gotta consider the amount of people who were on the fence about buying it but questioned the quality of Guerrero.

Greatly. We all saw how much Floyd-Guerrero flopped. Matthysse-Garcia has helped a bit, too.

He definitely deserves some credit, regardless of how unimpressive his record really is when you factor in how many club fighters he's beaten, he does have an entire country backing him up. To fight FLoyd, you have to bring more than just a good record to the table, you have to be someone who has a strong/loyal fanbase. Only guy I can think of in recent time that didn't have a big following that Floyd fought was GUerrero.

Canelo has the hope and prayers of a whole country. He is at least 45-50% responsible for the turn out.
