How much is the shoulder involved in punching?

    i think a boxer should have strong shoulders anyway. i would not train specifically for arm punches but i would train the shoulders regardless.

    Seriously these guys know there ****. The best way to improve punching power is to punch.

    I know a guy who can bench 400 lbs. Who cant hit me as hard as a guy who cant even do 50 pushups. If you want to punch harder punch more often. Weighted bag gloves are awesome!

    Let me say it like this. There comes a time when working on technique is no longer the best use of your time. If your form is near perfect how much does getting it even more perfect improve your output? First and foremost one must know how to use a tool but at a point making the tool better yields better results than simply getting better with it.

    Bag work is the single most important thing in building punching power.

    That, + a proper FULL BODY strength routine and you will reach your power potential with your style.
