Turn the sound off to avoid the comentary. Score it round by round. The tale of the cards show Leonard won 3 or 4 of the first four rounds. Hagler fans can say he won the fight, just not on the 10 point must system.
I think how upset you will be will depend if you’re a big Hagler fan as well as a Leonard hater? Because Leonard won, you will be upset regardless of the opponent but if you really liked Hagler as well then your disappointment will be multiplied. Personally I’ve never rewatched the entire fight either or had any desire to do so. Not because I’m not a fan of both fighters, but because despite the historical importance of the fight, I didn’t particularly think it was that good or exciting a fight. Both were past their best and I think it showed in the fight.
I had it 6-5-1 for Leonard, and I was a diehard Hagler guy then. He was my first boxing hero, and I couldn't score it for him, try as I might. He looked bad. Leonard dictated the thing.
Hagler deserved the decision but his performance was dull, whereas Leonard's performance was quite remarkable considering the lay-off etc.
See how you score it. You might agree with the decision for Leonard. I can't see it for Leonard but many swear he won it legitimately, so score it and see.
I didn't say anything was wrong with it. Just that Trump and Leonard might have those similarities. You seem to agree.
But there is 1 real bad scorecard that leaves a sour taste....that is hard to explain, and further fuels Hagler’s base that he was robbed.
I didn't say Leonard was like Trump. I was comparing the support for Leonard at the Hagler fight to a political rally.
I said in my original post that it's because I can't stand Leonard. He doesn't have the charisma to be the type of personality that he clearly wanted to be. Instead it just came across as fake.
I think you should think long and hard before you do it. Once you’ve seen it you can’t unsee it. Trigger warning, this is when Sugar Ray kickedhis annoying game to the next level! You will not have luxury that those of us who sought saw it at the time of Ray overcoming the odds.

Equally interesting is Hagler won 3 of his 6 media cards by just one point. I wonder how those cards were scored in the final three rounds. The worst media card of the bunch is the Associated Press score card for Hagler 117-112. The media cards back the split decision for Leonard is just. Tally: Leonard 13 Hagler 6 Draw 6
I don't get the Leonard hate. He wasn't Mayweather. He fought top level completion, even outside of his prime. It is my belief that Leonard has the best resume of big wins since the 1980's with wins over Duran, Hearns, Hagler, and Benitez. That's tough to beat.
