LAS VEGAS -- Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is taking a plea deal in two different cases.

Mayweather was facing criminal charges in a domestic violence incident and a battery on a security guard. Clark County District Attorney David Roger said Mayweather will plead guilty to one county of battery domestic violence and two counts of harassment. All are misdemeanors.

Mayweather will face $3,000 in fines as up to 18 months in jail.

The domestic charge stems from an incident in September, 2010 when Mayweather was accused of assaulting Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children. One of his sons told police he witnessed the beating.

The harassment charges are from an incident involving a security guard. Mayweather was accused of poking and verbally abusing a security guard over a parking issue in November 2010.

Well hes pleading guilty so i assume he knows he wont do jail time.
Add to that hes rich which makes it even more unlikely that he will do any time.

A total shot in the dark guess:

He'll get a 120 day suspended sentence and a big fine. He won't spend any more time in jail unless he royally screws up again.

Reports are saying a minimum of 2 days and up to 18 months, but I guess that could be bull****.

seriously, Lohan did a smaller crime than Floyd but the way she was making a mockery of the court system should have given her more time

Your probably not American, so you wouldn't understand the American judicial system. If you plead guilty there is a better chance of you walking out of the court with a sweet deal. Its a ****ed up system IMO

I voted less than a month because i feel it will be 0 days.
He will probably write a big fat cheque to Harris and do some kind of probation.
Maybe some community work but he wont see any jail time.

*edit i do think he should do some time, i mean beatingup a woman infront of their children when you are a professional fighter? thats some disgusting **** right there.

She committed a smaller crime indeed, but lets say an average American citizen like you or me pulled those bull**** antics we would be under the jail.

Doesn't matter. Floyd can spar with the other convicts.
