How much longer do we have to suffer RJJ in the booth?

Honest to goodness, nothing against Roy, but he is atrocious and has always been, and with Ward now available, why do we still have to have him do commentary. And I know Ward isn't available always, but for heaven's sake, find someone else. I'm not kidding when I say I'd rather have anyone from this forum do the commentary than him, or heck, lose him and have just Kellerman and Lampley do the commentary.

Is that the guy with the heavy accent? I think he's fine. But, again, I'll take a mute over RJJ.

The thing is, I'm sure a lot of us boxing fans are sympathetic to Roy, and I'm sure the folks over at HBO are as well, but you have to call a spade a spade.

On the other hand, when I try to think, I struggle to come up with a great alternative. I think Ward is good, but he won't be available always.

I prefer Ward over RJJ. He is much more articulate.

No way I love Roy, he's a great character, might be slightly incoherent at times but he comes out with some good lines and makes me laugh, can't forget 'he's not getting up Jim! He's not getting up!'

Imagine a booth with just Roy and Foreman. That would be epic. What really bugged me about last night was Kellerman interviewing the fighters, both of course with translaters. Kellerman, instead of asking questions that would be easy to translate, goes off with these ridiculous convulated confusing questions that take so long to spit out of his mouth that the translator probably forgets half of it by the time he is done.

I can't believe you guys don't think he's atrocious. Remarkable how differently different people see it.

He is a good commentator. In the Hopkins Taylor 1 fight he guessed from the beginning that Hopkins was waiting to tire out Taylor, then pounce on him in the later rounds - and all the other commentators were saying no way thats impossible

But word for word thats what happened
