technically speaking, considering I made my bet when Calzaghe was so favoured by the odds, and that now the odds have evened out a little, I could now make a counter bet and pull a profit no matter the outcome of the fight (win, lose, or draw)

Of course it's worth it! It's free money...guaranteed! (unless the time and effort involved in making the bet and collecting the winnings isn't worth the profit)

Well I have no betting profits, those were lost last year during the FIFA WC. :rofl :rofl However it is not a big deal for me - Win or loose.

You sound like a (rich) addict to me, or at least, like someone who should NOT bet at all:good! Since you are not making any money, is the thrill worth all that money down the drain? Can you keep your habit in check?:huh

Decebal - if everyone followed your rules nobody would gamble and there would be no big winners or losers. Plenty of people gamble for fun without running in to serious problems. I agree it's addictive like a drug but people want to have fun and so long as you're only losing what you can afford it's OK.

My rules are strict because it's for people who want to make money consistently and not lose over the quarter, except perhaps their low initial stake. But sure, if instead of having a drink at the bar or going to the cinema you have the occasional flutter, just for the fun of it, and you don't lose much money and you don't become addicted, sure, there's nothing wrong with that!:good

This will be a medium sized wager for me on Kessler at +135.

    Risking $4,000 to win $5,400
