    Does anyone have the numbers?

    I know Manny gets $20MM+ppv so that's $40MM+ppv upside.

    Canelo got $3mm for Smith+ppv and I think 12mm for Khan+ppv.

What has Triple G rec'd this year? 5MM for Brook and 2.5MM for Wade? Anyone have the numbers?

Don't have the figures in front of me, but Brook-GGG wasn't bankrolled by HBO. That only fit in the budget to be on regular HBO because of the UK money.

All I know is that the numbers don't add up and somebody is in debt. People criticize PBC but PBC don't pay anyone $20 million for fights nor do they sponsor PPVs for fights. HBO has been drowning in debt trying to out do a true salesman back when Haymon took the crew to Showtime.
HBO had the goods but were too concern with what Arum was complaining about and now they won't even fund that guys fights. Pacquiao hasn't moved a million PPVs since Marquez 4 and HBO was helping foot the bill for Rios, Algieri, and Bradley 2 & 3. $80 million in promises to Manny Pacquiao and what do they have to show for it?

HBO made a huge mistake leaving Showtime sign Anthony Joshua. They need to invest in people who excite and have the capability of becoming a star. Terence Crawford is not that guy.
And don't get me started on Kovalev-Ward...

Canelo has 10 years left, that's at least 30 fights. 30 fights to become a mayweather-like PPV star should be easy.

HBO boxing just need a new manager or something, because this one is making all the wrong choices.

Yea because their current and past were morons.

Blackball Al Haymon, and **** Floyd off enough he leaves to Show, then massively slash the budget this year.

HBO doesn't pay that money. HBO only kicks in a fraction of the purse. These guys are getting paid mostly by pay per view, casino fees, live gate, and selling the fight to a dozen other media conglomerates in other markets. HBO's whole budget this year was only 20-30 million dollars. That's why they only aired about twenty shows.

I think HBO is either getting out of boxing or only going to put on major events when two big names fight each other from now on. I think they want to just be the place for Ward/Kovalev, Canelo/Golovkin type match ups, and they'll let Showtime overpay prospects and PBC introduce people to journeymen.

Also, Canelo hasn't fought more than twice a year since 2012. Adjust your math. That's 20 fights max. It's doable for him to become Mayweatheresque in that time, but I think his draw will be severely hurt whenever GGG crushes his mandible. Jacobs, Andrade, or Eubanks might even derail that hype train, and it's not like he can command those kinds of huge paydays by not fighting opponents like them forever. Eventually, he's going to step up and get put down, and then he'll likely lose a lot of his star power. Besides, isn't Canelo on HBO already?

For Canelo to gain more power he needs to beat GGG first of all. If he doesn't beat GGG then his star power gets dramatically decreased.

However if Canelo beats GGG (which I think he will - and I'm more of a GGG fans than a Canelo fan) he will get all his fans back and start doing good PPV numbers.

The main reason for Canelos bad (not necessarly bad, but not good) PPV numbers is because he's taking fights the people don't want to see. They want the GGG fight, and after that they will begin to buy his fights again.

As for HBO Boxing being done for, it'll only happen if Canelo loses his draw. HBO are extremely dependent on Canelo right now. A large percentage of the HBO budget goes towards Canelo
