After watching this video, I wondered this question myself. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLisZMutMWU[/ame] watch @ 2:00 Predict it. Who is out there right now, that can even give him a PPV? I say after he reaches 140 in weight class. Nobody below 147 can get him a PPV. Khan would have been a PPV attraction if he didn't have such a glass jaw. Possibly someone like Marquez or maybe even Berto or Ortiz. If he does get on PPV, how will his numbers look? Will he ever get to a point where he matches Mayweather's numbers. Maybe even a thought of record breaking at some point? He's actually very entertaining to watch. I realized that after his fake proposal. He also has a very silly way in promoting himself while still being cocky, which is a very interesting personality. One reason he might get big numbers is from the Mayweather name. As in, all the Mayweather fans will slowly transition there attention to Broner. Broner's name will be associated with Mayweathers, kind of like how Pacquiao's name is. Plus the amount of hate for Broner might double, because it seems like everyone's hate for this guy Broner, is coming from the fact that he tries to imitate Floyd.
He will get his first PPV at 140, just like Floyd. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he was offered one already and turned it down do he could have his first one in the same weight lass Floyd did.
he needs to find the right opponent to get on PPV. Marquez or Rios would be the right guys but I doubt he gets those fights.
It would take a matchup against the likes of Khan, Garcia, Rios, Bradley, JMM, Hatton, Pac, and/or Mayweather to showcase on him PPV (assuming your referring to headlining the card.) Wouldn't be a bad idea to slot him on the co-feature bout on Floyd's next PPV card, though.
Why? Canelo's been on Floyd's PPV undercard why can't Broner? Broner would get casual fan exposure so I don't see why he'd be against the idea. And why would Floyd even care? If anything, Broner on his card would increase interest and help him generate more PPV sales.
Canelo was on the Floyd undercards to bring the Mexican fans PPV dollars. Broner and Floyd have the same fan base. No reason for Floyd to pay Broner 800,000 to be on a under card when Broner brings nothing to the table.
IMO its a bad move when the guys whole in ring image is "Floyd part II" to put him on a Floyd undercard
Thoug imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and Floyd has gone onrecord saying he loves broner, and if it would add more buys then I don't see why not
Fair enough. Though, they could match him against a Mexican fighter, ala Mosley-Canelo, to cater to the Mexican demographic.
it makes perfect sense dummy. they pratically the same fanbase but Broner is less known. millions would be watching him. it's worked out perfect for Canelo. you think it's only Mexicans buying Floyd's PPV's?
Won't be long before Kevin Iole will have an article on Yahoo about how Andre Ward vs Adrien Broner would be a good fight.
