The sport is full of PEDs, call me cynical but I really think most top level fighters are on something. As soon as the tests get better they develop different making agents etc. that cover them up. Victor Conte, who despite being a **** clearly knows a lot about this stuff, has explained how easy it is to cheat, the ones that are getting caught just make mistakes/take the wrong combination of stuff.

Don't get me wrong I'm not accusing anyone and I never think "he could be juicing" about a fighter but right now I wouldn't be shocked if anybody failed a test. Just disappointed like I am with Peterson.

VADA is a independent advanced testing body, there not there to make up the numbers, if Khan or Ortiz were taking something I am sure it would show up.

That being said with your mindset every sportsmen at highest level could be on stuff, how far do you want to go?

  3. It's interesting how the perceived ''mistake'' is being caught, rather than actually deciding to take the gear.

Shane Mosley was juicing and never failed a single test, Evan Fields was caught buying roids but Holyfield has never tested positive. Drug testing especially in boxing is awful, VADA is a good step forward but it needs to be compulsory, this is a problem with boxing not having an international governing body like other sports. If one was in place the Chisora/Luxembourg stuff could never happen either.

If it is an open and shut case I think it should be for life. Some people need to be made an example of. However, its like the death penalty. I want a ****** to be killed but such a harsh punishment could result badly for the few wrongly convicted.

I hope it never happens but I wonder what the ramifications would be if someone died fighting someone who is on PEDs.

It is true that is hard to catch people who can afford not to be caught but that doesn't justify no drug testing. In fact it means even more has to be done to ensure they are caught. VADA, WADA etc need to be ahead of the game at all times.

Health and safety in boxing is improving but drugs are becoming more widespread. Its a matter of time before this happens and personally I would like to see them be tried for murder. Only a fool would ignore the dangers of boxing/combat even without drugs.

Through the eyes of the athletes and the dealers that exactly how things are. I'm sure thats not how Baj himself views the situation.

  10. That's what I meant.

The mindset of them is completely wrong.

It's like ''oh ****, I've been caught'' not ''I best not take that stuff just incase''.

Isn't that just the mindset of most people in any walk of life who gets caught having decided to do something illegal?

Anyone who takes a test above & beyond that required by the commission is alright by me. I'm skeptical of everyone, but we shouldn't be critisise Oritz or Khan. They've passed where others have failed

I don't believe Peterson or Berto were trying to cheat. Both have obviously took something that is illegal and they both have to be suspended I would imagine. I think Bertos positive has come from something he took for his injured shoulder.

If a pro-athlete doesn't realize "testosterone pellets" are iffy, then ban them for stupid.
