So you're saying coming back and beating 2 undefeated top P4P's in their weight class doesn't mean a thing?

Way to back up my point....

So who should he fight then?

Not Dawson, He had a close fight with G. Johnson who was beaten by Sheika who was beaten by Calzaghe, a win would mean nothing.:lol:

The Jones fight was really just Calzaghe (The Ring Champ) beating a Ring LHW top 10 rated fighter and nothing more than just a good win

Dawson may well be a good fighter, but lets think. Calzaghe gets alot of critism for his wins but if he had of beaten Dawson it would have been another critism. Dawson has been put down by some real lesser fighters (much forgotten) and has a NC. Dawsons resume is made up of a LHW version of Adamek who at LHW has a big win over....... Briggs by SD, then Dawson gets a decision over Johnson who many think could have gone the other way, and Dawson has lost many fights, while Tarver has lost to Johnson and Hopkins (who Calzaghe beat)

Calzaghe wouldnt gain much from beating Bute whos beat who? or Dawson who has beat an old Tarver and Johnson and looked lucky not to get stopped in one of those

Or Bute who went the distance and lost some rounds to Andrade who was shut out against Kessler who was beaten by Calzaghe.

It's pointless Joe coming back really.

I think you're missing the point, they are the two top guys right now P4P in the possible divisions Calzaghe could fight.

In your eyes beating the top 2 undefeated P4P guys out there means nothing, so I ask again, who should he fight?

You are gonna criticize what a Calzaghe win over Dawson would be, being that Dawson beat "lesser fighters" (the same ones that KO'ed Roy) but call Joe's victory over Roy 5 years after the fact a good win????:huh

Dawson would probably be the best win on Joe's resume. At this point..:deal

Sure Lacey was exposed in that fight BUT please do not forget Slappy Joe was ready to back out of the Lacey fight claiming a "hand injury" It was Enzo kicked his ass & made him fight Lacey. Joe had an abundance of boxing talent but like Jones & Duck he lacked the heart & cojones of a true champion

Joe Calzaghe coming out of retirement and beating the best LHW in the world and a top p4p fighter would be huge!

And listen to yourself with the whole G.Johnson thing, you keep talking down on him....

He knocked Roy out almost 4 years before Calzaghe fought Roy, and you called Calzaghe's victory over Roy a "good" win.

So certainly the best LHW in the world, that has beat Johnson twice would be an even better win, right?

    Johnson isnt a P4P fighter.
Calzaghe beat the best LHW before he retired and was the best LHW when he retired, so why should he come back now?
Sure Johnson beat Jones before he had settled right back into LHW but still although Johnson would be a good win Johnson has lost to..... Do you need me to mention all the names (be real) to most who are a league above, including to Sheika who Calzaghe beat.
Beating Dawson who beat Johnson would be a better win than what?
    Eubank?
    Kessler?
    Hopkins?
Beating Lacy is arguably better seeing Lacy wasnt a name made of beating shopworn fighters

Still you fail to notice that Bute and Dawson werent calling out Calzaghe. Calzaghe was top dog but they didnt call him out, so why should Calzaghe?
