I am seriously over Lampey. The guy was a complete bore tonight. His job as a commentator is to generate excitement and add to the atmosphere of the fight. Given such a spectacular performance from Manny the guy never got out of 1st gear as a commentator. Compare that to the British Sky call who were going nuts (and no I am not British, I am Australian). Although I still loved Steve Albert on Showtime, I think Gus Johnson has added something to the revamped broadcast. HBO needs to do the same and get rid of Lampey. Fine to keep some of the analysts, but HBO needs to get replace Lampey with some new blood.
