I'm going to list some active HW's who I believe are roughly at the same level and could all beat one another on any given night (prime versions):

    Parker
    Chisora
    Ruiz
    Joshua
    Dubois
    Whyte

Every fight among this group is a good, competitive matchup. Any time I think there's a clear best among this bunch, I have to stop and think again. Wilder isn't listed as there isn't as much information on him. He dominated the C to B- heavyweights around and then took career ending back to back beatdowns from Fury. The best comparisons we have are how a prime Ruiz did against similar opponents (Arreola, Ortiz), with Ruiz obviously having the shakier wins. I think it's fair to say that it's unclear how an undefeated, champion version of Wilder would do against this crop.

Chisora obviously bottom of the list as he's lost to Parker twice and Whyte twice. I put Whyte just above him, then Ruiz. Parker of today beats Whyte.

    Dubois
    Joshua
    Parker
    Ruiz
    Whyte
    Chisora

Joshua is still a level or two over these guys in his prime. Although he could lose to everyone on the list currently. Parker is edges out everyone else in close fights. Toss up between Ruiz and Dubois, but I give the edge to Dubois for annihilating post prime Joshua in impressive fashion, but extra cool points to beating Joshua in his prime. Toss up between Ruiz and Whyte, but I give the edge to Ruiz. That leave Chisora clearly at the bottom of the list having lost to Parker and Whyte, but he is tough fight against any of the opponents on the list.

    1. Joshua
    2. Parker
    3. Dubois
    4. Ruiz
    5. Whyte
    6. Chisora

    1. Dubois
    2. Joshua
    3. Parker
    4. Ruiz
    5. Whyte
    6. Chisora

All not too far apart in level, and agree that any one of them could lose to any other on an off-night.

I guess to me, getting completely dominated by two fighters on this list in his prime shows Joshua belongs in the same box. Chisora earned his spot by having two very close, competitive fights with Whyte and Parker, and earning a dominant win over the guy who stopped Parker (Joyce). It would be very interesting to see Chisora vs. Ruiz.

Joshua vs Ruiz 1 was close, and I think Joshua was pretty much caught off guard. Joshua dominated the second fight, whereas Ruiz hasn't done anything since which to me indicates where they really stand. Joshua dominated Whyte and Parker who were rather successful after, so that shows me he is a level or two above. Dubois was dominated by Joyce and Usyk, so I would say Dubois is around about Joshua level or a step or two below. I think him dominating Joshua has more to do with timing. Joshua has been taking on world level competition since 2015 and already had 3 losses, so I think after 9-10 years he is just done at the world level, while Dubois is just entering his prime.

Joshua scored a flash knockdown in the first fight against Ruiz who appeared totally fine after he stood up - that was it. He then got knocked down four times, out boxed, beat up, and stopped. You'll need to explain to me how that is a "close" fight. Are you saying he "wasn't ready"?

Ruiz earned his place in this group by beating Joshua, and having a close fight with Parker. He didn't train for the Joshua rematch, but that's on him.

Joshua beat Whyte and had a solid win over Parker, certainly not a dominant win.

Dubois just beat the brakes off Joshua. I can't for the life of me understand how you'd have him TWO steps below a guy he just ran through.

I'm not sure how a 34 year old who is still in his physical prime (and was on a win streak) is "just done" the second he faces equal comp. This sounds like your previous "caught off guard" excuse.

Ruiz lost to Joshua, and hasn't beat anyone else of note. Dubois was KO'd by Joyce, who lost to Zang, who lost to Parker. Those all indicate to me where they stand. I think if Dubois had faced Joshua in his prime he likely would have lost similar to Whyte, Parker, and Ruiz. Just how I see.

Remove Chisora. What has he ever done? What is his best win? He's mediocre at best.

He got blown out by Ruiz and Dubois. He beat untrained Ruiz, had a war and a win against Whyte, and a 116-112 decision over Parker.

That's 3-2, with the wins being far from perfect and the losses being devastating.

He's right there in the mix.

If we are doing primes I have it very close to Hellspawn, except swapping that mythical prime Ruiz and Dubois around.

    1. Joshua
    2. Parker
    3. Ruiz
    4. Dubois
    5. Whyte
    6. Chisora
