describe the atmosphere in support of Eddie Chambers when he fights in his home country against the Pole Adamek? (will it be Nottingham-like?)

describe the atmosphere in support of Tim Bradley when he fights in his home country against the Phillipine Pacquiao?

describe the atmosphere in support of Paul Williams when he fights in his home country against the Mexican Alvarez?

Imagine ward stepping into the ring with Froch in that Lynch mob arena in nottingham.

    Imagine Bradley fighting in Manila.

Imagine Williams fighting Canelo in Mexico.

Imagine Americans fighting in venues they aren't familiar with, and adding the lynch mob element. Don't you think that would be interesting to see, rather then Americans always fighting in the united states. That **** is boring.

And? Now you see. Nobody gets a home advantage if they fight in the US, if they fight outside of their hometown, because of the large swaths of differences between states and regions. It becomes Man vs. Man, which is great when evaluating which fighter is better.

Exactly...I think it's difficult for others to comprehend that Americans don't support all things American, just because they are American.

You're proving that it's completely asymmetrical. That's my point.

But what occurs more- Americans supporting Americans or Americans supporting someone else because of factor x?
No one is arguing Mexicans, PR and others cannot get legit support here in the US, but it does not change the norm.

fighting at home is a huge advantage for european fighters. when americans fight in europe the majority of them fold like lawnchairs, anyone who thinks its not an advantage for american fighters fighting at home all the time is delusional.

its not just america though, the home advantage is crucial in many fights including brits

eg, i don't think hatton beats tyszu anywhere else than britain

i think if the exact same froch v kessler fight was fought in britain with a partizan nottingham crowd that froch would have recieved a unanimous decision

i don't think khan loses the same fight to peterson in britain etc etc

some of the advantages for the home fighters include

    - big influence on judges, huge noise when home fighter lands, silence when the opponent lands (eg kessler in denmark v froch)

    - home fighter energised and revived by the crowd support (eg benn v mcclellan)

    - referee's who try to please the home crowd, don't want to be boo'ed, if the home fighter grabs frequently, then allow him to do that without losing pts, eg's (ref for hatton v tyszu, cortez completely changing his refereeing principles to suit the home fighter within a month for the mayweather v hatton and calzaghe v hopkins fights)

    - lack of travelling

    - no problem ad******g to time zones, comfortable with climate

    - comfortable in your surroundings

Why would they leave, it serves them no purpose. Its the same reason why European fighters travel to the US, it makes them more money fighting here than it does fighting in Europe. Why do you think Amir Khan fights in Vegas and New York? because he wants to prove his toughness? No because it gets him a bigger paycheck. Same reason why Adamek fights in at the Prudential Center in New Jersey and why Cotto fights in NYC instead of San Juan. Its why Mayweather left the Midwest to set up shop in Vegas. Money(both Current and potential) dictates where fighters go, its why Winky Wright had his European Campaign because he made more money over there than in the US. And its why Mayweather is even remotely considering traveling to the UK to fight Amir Khan, all of these things revolve around money not adolescent shows of toughness.

Then why does Tomasz Adamek Command such loyalty in New Jersey? Who do you think that crowd will be supporting when Eddie Chambers comes to town?

The only time you see National Barriers begin to get erected is when the Olympics, every American is usually on board with Team USA then, but after that its back to Team Polish-American, Team Mexican-American, etc.

Exactly, they want american fighters to travel just to test themselves but no fighter does that. You only travel when you have something to gain, nobody would travel if they had their way.
