How much of a natural size difference between Floyd and Pac?

    He clearly is.

At 130 Mayweather put on 3 - 5lbs for fight night. Whilst Pacquaio was putting over 14 - 16lbs.

If they would have fought at 130, Pac would have over 10lbs on Mayweather. Whereas at welterweight they'd weigh in on fight the same.

What Pacquaio has done isn't really remarkable relative to Mayweather.

marquez was eating raw eggs by the dozen to get to put weight on. he looked fat. that doesn't make them the same size. additionally, floyd never weighed in on fight night.

i am repeating myself constantly here because you guys simply don't understand what are very basic principals.

i can't believe that you guys honestly think floyd and marquez are the same size. you must have some sort of agenda, or be incredibly ignorant.

do yourselves a favor and watch the fight again. i refuse to believe that you think these guys are the same size if you actually watch boxing.

So at 130lb, Mayweather was adding 5lbs, whereas Pac added 15lbs for fight night. Yet Mayweather was the heavier fighter between the two.

So what Mayweather looked like on fight night against Marquez is the biggest you've seen him since returning to the sport in 09?

Also can I add that when putting on weight a fighter gets 'slower' so if you what you're saying is true Mayweather will have been the slowest he's ever been in the ring since returning to the sport.

Listen kid, I don't mean this as a disrespect but sometimes it's better to use your eyes as a means to seek the truth rather than listen to the opinions of people providing infactual (or unproven) statements.

Even if Mayweather came in as a so-called heavyweight (lol) against Marquez, he imposed hardly any physical will on Marquez. The fight was won on speed and intelligence rather than strength. Another thing, if Mayweather was planning on using speed (which he did) to beat Marquez why on earth would he come in heavy???

Mayweather is taller, has longer reach and bigger balls than Pacquiao.

i never said he "came in heavy [heavier than normal for floyd mayweather]"

i'm saying he's the naturally bigger man, which he is.

you guys are wrong, and that's fine with me. maybe you can learn something from this, and maybe you can't.

you won't be convincing me that floyd mayweather and juan manuel marquez are the same size, because they are not.

Marquez weighed in 145 against Katsidis.

He supposedly weighed 148 against Floyd.

I dont see the mass amount of weight he was supposed to have put on.

for one, the eye test. i've been watching boxing for a very long time.

marquez fought a hall of fame career as a Featherweight. his adult body was that of a featherweight, and later a small lightweight. he weighed 133 lbs for juan diaz 2. he's at WW for the money. floyd is there because he has to.

in his "welterweight" fights, marquez is weighing no more than 143, a weight which floyd mayweather could not make, evidenced by his inability or unwillingness to make his catchweight against marquez, which cost him a lot of money in the midst of his well documented financial problems. if you could make that weight easy you would, saving yourself a ton of money.

again, you won't be changing your mind, even in the face of insurmountable evidence, and expert testimony to the contrary from virtually any source you look at, including the testimony of the fighters themselves.

just look at pacquiao against marquez. they're similar in size. manny is a bit larger. look at floyd and mosley. they were roughly the same size. then look at pacquiao and mosley. the fight is between a smaller man and a larger man. look at mosley vs margarito. they are roughly the same size. then look at pacquiao and margarito. margarito makes pacquiao look tiny.

seriously. go watch the fights again. you need it. watch mosley - margarito and mosley - mayweather.

then watch mosley vs pacquiao, and pacquiao vs margarito.

you'll either see a difference in size. or you're biased. i don't really care which it is.

    i think it's floyd mayweather d#ckriders, personally.

dudes who want to aggrandize floyd's victory over marquez, who looked like his baby brother and completely undersized.

You're using height to argue your point and not weight.

Mosley and Mayweather are almost the same heigh yes but weight differently, in fact, Mosley weighs on fight night significantly higher than Mayweather. So again this has nothing to do with height.

I made it clear to one other poster that Pac and Mayweather aged 16 were both 106. Probably same as Juan Manuel Marquez. They now all weigh 151 on fight night. All that differs between them is that their journeys to welterweight have been different. Mayweather chased the big money fights quickest, he was calling at Mosley and De La Hoya the moment his professional career began.

Look no one so far has disrespected your theories, so no need to take it personal. If you want to however continue taking it in that direction then no point carrying on with this little debate.
