How much of a training camp is spent (usually) in tape-studying the opponent?

Re-watched Lewis-Ruddock and Lewis said in the post-fight interview he studied hours and hours of Ruddock tapes in order to beat him and discover the mistake that cost him the fight. Ironically, Steward and McCall would do the same to blitz Lewis in their first meeting.
Today era is basically the perfect era to build the right game-plan considerin' how many videos of a fighter are around every corner of youtube.

I think it really depends on the fighter. There may be cases in the low ranks of the division that there is actually very little footage of the opponent.

Seems like I see a lot of footage these days where the fighter says that they leave the tape study to their trainer and that is the trainer’s job, theirs is just to get in there and fight. Which to me is a shame, if I was a trainer, my fighter would be required to watch those tapes right alongside me.

I don't think lewis studied anything for an hour in his entire life.
But as for now, I know that Sugar Hill spent zero hours studying tapes of the MMA fighter Fury fought. Because all they needed to do was land da right hand and go home, yo.
