How much of Haye's stock will drop if he fights and loses to a Klit brother next?

It seems like everbody wants to fight him at the higher weight divisions...should he wait to fight a Klit brother, or take a risk, and how much will a loss affect him?

It shouldn't affect him much at all if he loses to a Klit at this point, he's still a baby at heavyweight. Unfortunately most of the dicks on here will probably write him off as nothing other than another British hype-job.

it doesn't matter if he plans to retire after only 4 more fights.

He is still the third best heavyweight behind them regardless of whether he loses, so his stock cant really go down tbh.

Its win win for Haye he is probably the 2nd best Cruiser ever behind Holyfield unified the division in 20 odd fights then moved up to heavy an won a title there in 23? fights. If he beats a Klit he becomes P4P if he loses so what he was a cruiser that moved up and made the heavy division interesting and few people gave him a chance agaisnt the Klits anyway

it depends on how he loses and who to. lets say for instance haye knocks down wladimir two-three times before getting knocked out, then i don't think that will ruin haye's stock too much, actually a rematch could prove to be the biggest money maker for either fighter if that did occur, but lets say haye lost in the first round, then yeah that'll be quite bad for him.

It depends on how he gets beaten. He will get beaten, but the how will determine his standing in the Heavy division afterwards.

Assuming he gets knocked out by about round 7, he will be ranked about the same as everyone else in the divison.

Losing to one of the 2 best fighters in the Division is not going to drop his stock any. Now if he lost to Vlauev in a rematch or the winnner of Chagaev vs Meehan that would drop his stock.

I'll have a lot more respect for him if he fights and loses than I do now. If he fights and wins I will have huge amounts of respect for him.

Currently, I think he is a con. A good boxer who made his name off "going for the Klits and being the saviour of the division", punked out and doesn't actually need to fight them anymore because legions of clueless British fans think he is the best heavyweight in the world now.

david haye is a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, and now a world heavyweight champion. david haye made his name because of the way he fights inside the ring. valuev fight was boring, i agree, but the guy is hardly in any boring fights. put it this way 90% of haye's fights are exciting, that's why people are talking about him, it's because he knocks mother****ers out in very good fashion.

How can he be a con and a good boxer unified cruisers and won a heavy belt, battered Ruiz yes Valuev is **** yes Ruiz is old but nobody else in the heavies has done this in 3 fights and now he is going straight for a Klit and out of all the current crop he has the best chance to beat them

He really has nothing to lose by fighting them. There are a lot of people who would love to see him win, but realistically we all know he only has a punchers chance.

Even though I think Haye is a massive douche nozzle...I have to admit that it would be exciting to see an underdog make a lot of noise and unify the division by beating to two best fighters.

On the other hand, it would be just as exciting to see Wlad unify the division by knocking Haye TFO and picking up Vitali's belt after big bro retires...then forcing everyone to step up and pounding their asses with authority....which is very possible for him to do.

Haye could very well dominate the "B Class" of HW's though..which I suppose is all anyone could really hope for at this point...but he needs to fight Wlad so that we can be one big step closer to unification. It would be good for the sport, the fans want it and Haye has nothing to lose.

I always can spot one of Haye's Gays.

They are the ones who bleat about Haye being undisputed Cruiser champion. They bleat about how he is heavyweight champion. Trying so desperately to make him sound impressive.

    Shall we rephrase things?
Haye fought and won a grand total of two title fights at cruiser. He fought two guys who are next to nobodies, in the weakest division in boxing.
Even if he dominated the cruiser division, cleared it out and made 10 title defences it would mean sweet **** all.
Then Haye took on and only just beat a man known as the worst champion in heavyweight history. His winning performance was on par with Holyfield's, Ruiz's and worse than Chagaev's.
His encore performance was against a guy whose recent record is nothing short of embarassing.
All this for a version of the world title which is a farce. Might as well be fighting for regional titles as for the WBA - they have made so much effort to keep any decent fighters from their championship belt that they are no longer relevant in the division.

Haye's Gays bleat all sorts of ****, and are almost singlehandedly turning this forum into something as pleasant as a dead hooker's gangrenous sphincter.

But what happens when you look at Haye's career? His "undipsuted world cruiser champion" turns into a worthless achievement that might see him scrape into the top 50 P4P if he was lucky.
His "Heavy world champion" turns into an embarassment, that wouldn't even get him into the top 50.

Bleat, bleat, bleat. Anyone with a brain sees past the hype to the total lack of substance.

Uhmmm, remember what happened to Hatton after his two losses? Its a very similar scenario.

Hatton dominated his division for a long time, had a great rep, then lost to not just the best two fighters in his division...but a division higher...and they are the two best P4P fighters in the sport..and are both probably Hall of Fame fighters...and Pac is an ATG on top of that!

Still, now many write Hatton off as "washed up".

    See also Cotto...

Same thing could happen to Haye.

i'm not talking any ****, i'm just laying down the facts that haye is a former undisputed cruiserweight world champion, and now holds a world title at heavyweight. theres no one really decent for him to beat at cruiserweight, so he beat who he had to beat to become the universally recognised number one at that weight. i suppose it's like wladimir. wladimir is regarded as the best at heavyweight, him and his brother, but neither of them have beaten anyone significant, actually vitali was wanting to fight a guy who haye beat to become a world champion, so it shows that haye's not too far from them when they're wanting to fight the guys haye's beaten in his short term at heavyweights.

anyway carry on trying to put haye's achievements down.
