Overstatement. And this is coming from a Cotto fan. Mayweather almost always holds back when he punches. He seems to punch and then get right back to his defensive stance, I think that's why his KO percentage isn't particularly high. He's satisfied to just score, whereas Cotto punches in order to hurt his opponent, not just score points. The only time I saw Mayweather letting his hands go completely was the Gatti fight.
I agree with that. I don't think we've ever seen Floyd's full potential in terms of power because he is so conservative. Which is part of the reason I asked the question. I hope this fight comes off - it would be a great one.
