How much real interest would a Klitschko unification match bring?

By the way its pretty obvious prime vs prime vitali would be the winner, even now he would win, not cause he is currently better but cause he would spook wlad mentally, its pretty clear that vitali beat the **** out of him as a kid and wlad looks up to his big brother, once vitali gets mad he would be intimidated.
Its also biblical that the odler brother always wins.

I wouldn't be overly interested unless there was a serious rift and rivalry to make the fight legit.

I'd be more interested in wlad fighting thompson, arreola, winner of adamek/chambers and povetkin.

Wlad's a super dominant champion, all he needs to do is continue to fight guys who sit in the top ten rankings.

How's this for making the fight. Vitali tells the WBC his intent to retire, but does not stop paying his fees and maintains his license. While Suleiman plots to get Arreola vs (insert unworthy challenger) for the vacant title, Vitali comes right back and says something to the effect that he hadn't actually retired and will defend once more against a voluntary. WLAD.

Over twelve rds, the K bros touch each other with jabs and the fight is a 6/6 draw until Wlad throws one solid R hand, Vitali takes an knee and an 8 count, rises and holds until the final bell.

The scores are announced 115/114, 114/114 and 115/113 all for the winner and NEW Undisputed HW CHampion of the World Dr Steel Hammer, Wladimir Kliiiiittttssscccchhhkkkkkkooooooooooooooo:happy

The fight would be huge, could break all records. I'm glad they aren't planning to fight each other but the boxing fan inside me would still love to see it.

    It'd be big

Wouldn't be the huge spectacle some people imagine though, since unlike a lot of other boxers, the brothers have 0 interest/name among casual fans (the type that could tune in or go round to a friends house to watch Manny - Floyd)

Right, it would take some marketing strategy to gain interest for it to become a major event. Without a fake reason to fight each other, other than they saying its business, it would not sell.

Also, I would say most fans of Wlad are also fans of the Vatali and same goes for the haters of the Klitschkos and that itself makes the match less interesting to the boxing fans.

Fans aren't daft so it would need a good reason and some serious hype to pull the wool over our eyes. Saying that see Haye/Harrison on how that works.

It'd be a glorified sparring session?

Boxing is too serious stuff for brothers to fight seriously.

Calvin Brock and Lamon Brewster are blind in one eye..

Yeah, their rank should not matter. Its mentality that matters. Older brother has an advantage over younger because younger always looked up to him.
Havent you guys seen The Warrior???
