In a year? I think 3 times is realistic and good, 1 isnt enough and 2 fights a year should atleast be reached.
What do you mean? like Elite fighters who fight in the top 10 each time, yea thats about right. Regular up and comers atleast 1 every.2-3 months.
4 times a year seems ideal to me. Obviously it depends on whether you have a couple of brutal fights or a couple of blow-out wins but I think even if you're fighting at the top level and the fights all go the distance, 4 times is reasonable. Even though I'm a Haye fan, I think it's an awful waste that he fights once per year - you should take advantage of your prime years while you can.
Elite (Manny, PBF) - Twice a year A list (Berto, Dawson) - 3-4 times The rest (David Haye) - 5-6 times
I say the elite/grade A type fighters 3-4 times a year (minimum 2) 1 fight a year you should retire. The rest 5-6 to get and build recognition you got to be exposed!
It's very age and quality of opposition dependent, as well as what actually happens in the fight, of course. You couldn't one-size-fits-all a number for everyone.
2-3 times per year for top names (enjoying and stacking) 3-5 for B-C class guys (earning) 6+ for prospects (learning) You can't ask a man to jump in the ring constantly with top level opponents and not enjoy the fruits of his years of hard work.
It depends on their opponent. If you're just starting off then you could probably fight 4-5 times or more a year. Once you become a champion and start fighting the best then 2-3 times maybe 4 times a year.
