Kostya was an underdog against a man he had already beaten? Didn't know that.

Like when Ali beat Berbick, or Johnson beat Willard or Dempsey beat Tunney?

    he was talking about Phillips

Kostya was prime when Phillips kod him. There was plenty of time to try to avenge that loss.

The Hatton fight was winnable for Tszyu imo, him quitting was strange.

Sharmba Mitchell, now THAT, was a quit job. Him pretending to cry after punking out was pathetic.

The glaringly obvious bias in this post for all to see is quite simple. Little Zab was considered at the time to be far from flawed, and indeed in many quarters was considered to be the one to bring the UNIFIED 140 titles back to the " good ole US of bullsh!t. "

Boxing fans make the sport even crueller than it is. A fighter can win a world championship, then Lose to the two best fighters of our time - and be regarded as a bum!

I think you are glossing over Tzyu here, Roger Mayweather?

i dont fault Hatton for his losses...he was even competitive avainst Mayweather

i just think he was grossly overrated, probably because he was white...aside from 36 year old Kostya Tzyu coming off a layoff, who did Hatton ever beat?

    Ray olivera??
    Carlos Massua?
    over the hill JC Castillo??

and to be fair he fouled his way to victory over Tyzu

this guy faced almost no American competition...

Tim Bradley, Zab Judah, Kendall Holt all would have destroyed Hatton...

    so would Jr Witter

he never faced none of those guys. he only got a shot at Mayweather cause he called him out after the JC fight

i never understood why Hatton was ranked so highly. i still dont ...

he just sold alot of tix cause british fans are suckers that like to drink beer and sing stupid soccer songs
