Is Fury another Haye waiting to happen or does he deserve 50%
I think it should be a 50/50 split

Fury will make AJ look stupid a bit like he did with Wlad but that doesn't mean he will deserve 50/50..

Fury wasn't pulling in the numbers like AJ does...

I reckon if Fury gets in and fights 2/3 decent opponents and talks a bunch of smack, and makes them look average - then he'll bring his split up HEAPS.

One thing I was thinking about with Hearn's offer to Wilder, if I were team Wilder and I were confident (yeah I don't think they are that confident) and wanting to make a point - they'd counter offer that the LOSER gets $12mill flat and the rest of the winnings go to the winner.

Something like that could be a cunning move for Team Fury.

He's going to have to accept the thin end of the wedge but I'd make sure I was on the lion's share should Femi exercise the rematch clause.

If Fury went straight into an AJ fight, pretty much completely unproven, he really wouldn't deserve much.

If he fights some decent names and does well, he'll deserve a fair bit. Definitely not 50%, but probably similar to what Parker deserved, and what Wilder would deserve.

50/50 is fair here. At the end of the day Wilder and Joshua need Fury, not the other way around. Fury is the champ the other two are merely holding shiny trinkets. Besides, Fury is far more entertaining and can sell any fight once the cameras are on him.

If Fury looks good in his tuneup fights he should get 50% as he is the biggest draw that Joshua could possibly get!

Those are the only choices? 5% or 50%

    Then it's definitely 5%

Fury was never a big draw before he retired, got banned, went nuts... whatever you want to call it. He'll struggle to demand and get 50% unless his long awaited comeback drawn in PPV buying fans. Fight negotiation isn't about who the best is, it's about who has the most leverage and right now Fury has very little seeing as he has no belts and no PPV numbers to throw about.

70/30 for AJ would be my starting point. I'd bet Hearn would go with the flat fee and he may try and detach him from Warren before they even sit down. If Fury insists on 50/50 the fight never happens. AJ goes off and fights any one of the several dozen other global heavyweights desperate for a shot at him.

What does Tyson bring? Depending on the next few fights a definite degree of risk if he gets close to the Dortmund form. A style which may not make AJ look good even if he wins. No belts, most casual fans don't even know what a lineal champ is. a UK following that AJ likely has a good share of already, UK press and attention which again is a market AJ is effectively near maxing out without Tyson. Does he have much sway internationally? Unlikely.

He's a great talker and along with his contestable claim to the lineal title he could boost UK earnings even in a saturated market. So the best case he gets a percentage, but would be very lucky to get much above 30. If AJ has undisputed status by then he's holding almost all the cards.

Should be 60-40 to AJ for me. AJ has the belts, and in terms of popularity in the UK, I'd say he's slightly ahead than Fury, although not by much. This fight will be built-up as 'who beat klitschko better' and 'which of the klitschko beaters is best'. That's my reasoning for why the splits will be close, because literally only the belts split them.

There's no doubt, AJ will have the most money from the fight, that's for sure.

Totally agree. Don't understand this obsession with splits, who gets paid what etc.

As far as I'm concerned Fury could get a bag of hedgehogs as payment to fight Joshua. Don't care. Just want to see the fight.
