Heard there are so many great talents out there who will never get the fights that bring them to fame simply because they don't have a promoter with the right connections

In countries like South Africa talent gets overlooked a lot and eventually it causes the boxer to retire early or never make it out of the amateur scene. This is mostly due to poor promoting. Did you know a guy like Nkositathi Joyi basically still a middle class citizen? He got an average of 6000 USD per fight because of poor promoting. And that's when he was world champ before he got sold out by his management in his last fight. He arrived only days before the fight.

Is Botha still SA's best active HW? I remember a lot of people had high hopes for Flo Simba before he got exposed by Botha and later others as a glass jawed can with no heart. Botha despite being way passed it has made some pretty good money in his recent fights, I'm sure he hit the jackpot with his upcoming freakshow fight against Sonny Bill Williams.

There is another hw prospect by the name of Kevin Lerena. Up and comer. But there's no Gerrie Coetzee, Corrie Sanders or Francois Botha on the way. And Flo is retiring. Glass jawed disgrace. SA has a history of good smaller boxers. Only bigger guy that can go anywhere atm is Oosthuizen imo.

Ryno Liebenberg might be someone who could go somewhere as well.

Is Botha really the best heavy from SA or Corrie Sanders?

Corrie definitely takes the cake. He also beat Botha like 5 times in the amateurs.

All time probably Corrie. Which is not saying much, I know. Our big guys play rugby.
