I think he was content being sparring partner for so long

Having massive gaps in his career didn't help

Not sure how much he was paid but no one finds it suspicious that a fighter that was KO1 by Wilder somehow gets to headline a show shortly after for PBC. A fighter that also may I add does not have a fan friendly style.
Let's not forget that wilder vs Stiverne somehow Wilder as a mandatory (a dubious ranking btw) received a larger payday than the champion Stiverne. When mandatories get typically 25 percent of the purse bid. Or how mysteriously that Don Kings fighter fights a dud against Wilder and then out of ALL the possible title challengers Eric Molina (another King fighter, maybe Kings's only other HW) gets first crack at the title.
To put it mildly Wilder's career is carefully orchestrated. Big Money wants him to succeed.

Scott didn't take a dive, the g-force from Wilder's American power is enough to break any glass jaw. Why? Cause Merica, that's why.

    USA! USA!

But Scott is also from Merica so he would have titanium jaw???

    I am confused...

Thompson was 44, less than a year removed from his career best win, and ranked a top 10 hw by Ring. Good win by Scott. Many also thought Scott was robbed in getting a draw against Glazkov. You're insane if you think he would have been paid more money in a bribe than he would have stood to make at a purse bid in a championship fight. And also insane if you think he wouldn't have thought he had a chance against Stiverne. Chances are Stiverne would have caught him with a power shot that would have ko'd him at some point (like Wilder and Chisora did), but Stiverne struggles with taller boxers, so an upset would have been very possible. So 1. Scott makes much more money than any "bribe" just by winning the Wilder fight and getting a challengers payout by Stiverne even in losing to Stiverne and 2. Makes lightyears more money if he takes advantage of what probably will be his only opportunity at a title and beats Stiverne.

But yeah, he decided to forego all that for a comparatively tiny bribe that results in his humiliation. Blogger fan fiction is something else. Get realistic.

lol. Scott was never going to win he was considered a nobody and only got the fight to do a job. Dive for his mate..

The guy went 12 rounds with Leapai lol.

So at 43 Thompson had his best win against the say guy Vitali ko'd in the first round?? Pretty impressive. Not as impressive as Scott getting a UD against him at 44.

In his 30's Thompson must have been the lineal champ and if only he faced Wlad and Vitali he would have KTFO both in the same night... Oh wait...
