Im not sure if I understand weight transfer properly. But if I have too much weight on my back foot it slows my punch down because there is too much friction/weight on my rear foot and I cant make as a rapid rotation due to this friction. So basically if you try to "put out the cigarette" when all your body weight is on your rear foot, the weight/friction will not alow the hip/foot to spin as fast as it should and so the punch is slow and weak. How much weight should you transfer from leg to leg? What am I not getting here? Cheers!
Approximately 57.68% of your body weight should be on the rear foot for maximum force otherwise your punch will not be optimal. If you get the numbers dead on you'll be able to punch through a brick wall. I done that once by accident.
Don't **** around. I calculated those numbers from experienced fighters on this forum such as Ylem and highguard. They know their ****.
